About Steve

Who is this Steve Cichon clown?
Steve is a guy who has spent the past decade and a half as a newsman and a producer and programmer in radio & TV. He's also spent a lifetime loving radio and television, and making it his mission to make great radio and television. How? By remembering where it is we in radio and television came from by embracing the history of the media, and by "making the world a little sillier than he found it," as Hall of Famer and Boston Radio Great Norm Nathan often put it.

Steve and Norm Nathan 1996 at the WBZ studios.
Though perhaps blinded by the hideous wallpaper, Steve also at one point in his life also enjoyed the newspaper.
About staffannouncer.com

Steve Cichon's staffannouncer.com orginally started as Steve Cichon's Unemployment project. After watch my boss (Adelphia Owner John Rigas) being lead off in handcuffs, and then crapping out at a one time try at the world of radio sales... I was left with a handful of part-time jobs.... And plenty of time on my hands.
Always looking to turn a negative into a positive, I took the opportunity to organize my vast media archive, and put it into some sort of useable format for the world to share...
Enter Staffannouncer.com. I bought the domain one night at about 3:30 am... And then began teaching myself HTML. The whole point of staffannouncer.com is to celebrate on the web the amazingly uncelebrated. That is... fill the holes on the internet. If you remember a TV show or a radio personality from days gone by, you should be able to get it with a quick google search. Too many of the Pop Culture things that I cared so much about... So many of the things that were a part of my childhood... Came up "No Matches Found." So now, I'm proud to say, many of those searches wind up here at staffannouncer.com.

Audio Remastering:
We've all cleaned out the attic or basement and found a box of reels, carts, records, or cassettes that we can't listen to, but can't bear to throw away... We have cart machines, reel decks, and turntables, and they are all plugged into our computer! We dump the stuff in, clean up the crackles and hiss, and send you a few CDs to replace that useless musty box. Send us a picture or two, and we'll even design a fancy cover and label! E-mail Steve for details.

Web Design:
Most people want a website for one reason or another, but the unknowns are plentiful. If you like the look of this website, Steve can put together a turnkey website quick, easy, and cheap. You tell us what you want, we make it happen... Its really that simple. We use technically simple (cheaper!) web pages, but spice them up with eye popping graphics designed by Steve himself. You provide basic pictures and text that you'd like on web... And you're there! E-mail Steve for details.
